Holland Lop Rabbits are the most popular domestic rabbit breed and for good reason. With their beautiful floppy ears and big block heads set on their small yet stocky bodies, they are nearly irresistible based on appearance alone. However, as a bonus, Holland Lops are also known as being one of the most docile and gentle miniature breeds of domestic rabbit. Despite their docile nature, they lack not in the personality department. In general, they are also very friendly, curious and fun. Holland Lops usually top out at 3-4 lbs and come in many different colors and patterns.
At Skyline Farms, we take great pride in our Holland Lop breeding program. We maintain a very small and concentrated herd based on type, personality and the more rare colors. Our rabbits come from well known bloodlines and quality pedigrees. We typically produce several show quality bunnies with our breedings, and prefer to reserve these for 4-H and show homes. Though we strive for show quality results in our breedings, we do not cull our babies which also means we usually have loving pet bunnies available for adoption as well.
Mini Rex Rabbits
Mini Rex are a small breed rabbit with a luxuriously soft fur coat and great personalities. They average 3-4 lbs. Due to their small size and calm personalities, these rabbits can be good for families with young kids, as classroom pets, and as therapy animals. Mini rex are a dwarf breed.
They are generally hypo-allergenic due to their low shed, short fur and minimized grooming. This can be a good breed for individuals with some allergies. No animal fur can ever be completely allergy free! Please consider this when choosing a pet.
